Since 1948, Gibellino Construction Company's reputation has been built on attention to details and customer satisfaction on each and every project. It all began with Aldo Gibellino immigrating to America to seek a better life for himself and his growing family. After serving his four-year apprenticeship as the carriage maker for the king and queen of Italy, where he learned to boil the wood so it would bend to make the wheels on the royal carriages. He learned and mastered this and along with many other fine carpentry skills required to build a royal carriage.

 

Shortly after his arrival to the United States, Mr. Gibellino lived in New York for a short period of time and worked building wooden telephone booths gaining and refining his carpentry skills even further. Still not content and wanting to experience even more of what this country had to offer; he then moved to the Town of Old New Castle seeking a job at Balanca Aircraft. This is where he worked closely with the owner Mr. Balanca building the balsa wood mockups of what would eventually become the new planes of the era. Balanca planes were famous for the lift that they could achieve from their special wing design. These lift characteristics, being so innovative for their time, caught the attention of the famous pilot Charles Lindbergh himself. Mr. Lindbergh actually visited Balanca planes located just outside historic Old New Castle during his search for the right plane to cross the Atlantic. This history of long-standing dedication to craftsmanship and the attention to the subtlest of details, laid the foundation for what this fledgling construction company would become over the next half century.

 

Over the past several decades our company has evolved into a first-class property damage restoration company, with the fourth generation continuing this family-owned construction company.
